Future Dream Experiences - Did I dream about the future?
DOGGED COINCIDENCE
Just before my mother died my father told me of his vivid dream. In the dream a black Labrador dog was tugging at his arm. When he awoke he felt immersed in a deep peace. It was as if an immense silence fell over the house. Father told me that he believed that this was a sign that mother would die. We must prepare ourselves.
It is the custom to have a meal at home after a funeral. When the caterers arrived early in the morning to begin preparations a black Labrador dog entered the house. We assumed it belonged with the caterers but nobody knew who the animal belonged to.
The dog immediately ran up the stairs and into the bedroom in which mother was laid out. "My goodness it's the dog from my dream!" exclaimed father.
After the funeral we found an umbrella that someone had left behind. On the handle was a black Labrador's head. And for many days after the same black Labrador dog continually sat in the road outside our house looking up at mother's bedroom window.

In legends and mythology from around the world dogs have guided the dead to the afterlife - a fitting symbol for your father's dream and series of coincidences. Dogs have traditionally been thought to possess the ability to see ghosts and 'smell' death.
It may well be that they are sensitive to chemical changes in human tissues, for there are many instances on record of dogs showing great distress hours before the death of their beloved master.
